Designing Information System To Support Business Process Improvement In A Small-Mid Size Bottled Drinking Water Industry
Due to inefficiencies of the business processes in small-mid size of bottled drinking water industries,
it is necessary to improve them. The improvements are carried out in business processes of production,
warehouse, delivery, marketing, and finance departments. The main causes of the inefficiencies are the
inefficiencies of the business process itself and that the business processes of those departments were not
integrated. This paper is concerned with designing information system to support for the integration of those
departments. First, we mapped the business process of each department using flow diagram. Then analyze the
inefficiencies of each department. Next, we redesign the business processes and standardize them. The next step
is integrating the business processes by designing the information system. We design the information system
modular. The modules are marketing module, production module, logistic module and finance module. Data
Flow Diagram (DFD) is used to model the system. Relational database management system (RDBMS) is used
to design the database. User interfaces are built to ease in using the program application. The outputs of the
information system are reports and documents in monitor screen view and in printing. The validation showed
that the information system designed can support the business process improvements.

Designing an Open Virtual Factory of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises for Industrial Engineering Education
Curriculum of Industrial Engineering program must accomplish
the requirement that graduates have the ability to design,
develop, implement, and improve integrated system that include
people, materials, equipment and energy. However, it is not easy
to implement a curriculum that fosters such competencies. One of
the strategies to achieve that is using an innovative learning
media, so that the problem-based learning (PBL) can be
accustomed. In this paper, we design a web-based enterprise
resources planning. It is aimed to capture the real problem of
small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in bottled drinking
water industries. The integrated system can be illustrated as ERP
application that designed by using free open source software
(FOSS). This research aimed to utilize the application to improve
teaching methods in IE education. The result of the research can
be used to improve the competencies of IE students, especially the
abilities to identify, formulate, and solve the activities of the
business process improvement in SMEs.

ANALISIS BEBAN KERJA UNTUK MENENTUKAN JUMLAH KARYAWAN OPTIMAL PADA BAGIAN OPERASI SARANA PENYELENGGARAAN DIKLAT KILANG PPSDM MIGAS
PPSDM Migas is a company engaged in oil and gas. One factor that must be considered by the company is the distribution of workload to employees so that the effectiveness and efficiency of employees can be reached. The fact in the field, PPSDM Migas has just transferred its employees to PPSDM Jakarta, so there is a discrepancy between workload and number of employees. To overcome the problem of measuring workloads in PPSDM Migas, this study uses a task per task approach. This method will provide information about the allocation of employee human resources to complete the existing workload optimally. Based on the results of the workload measurement on PPSDM Migas using the task per task approach it can be concluded that from the two positions as a pilot project there was one position which resulted in a mismatch between the workload and the number of office holders, namely 4 Tank employees and Distribution but from the calculation results it takes 7 employees. The position of Executor of Distillation Operations has the number of employees as many as 2 employees and from the results of the calculation required 2 employees, this shows the suitability between the number of employees and the workload on the position. Based on the results of calculations from both positions, the position of Implementing Distillation Operations is included in the category of sufficient office efficiency. An Optimization Model for Single-Warehouse Multi-Agents Distribution Network Problems under Varying of Transportation Facilities: A Case Study
The transportation cost of goods is the highest day-to-day operational cost associated with the
food industry sector. A company may be able to reduce logistics cost and simultaneously improve service
level by optimizing of distribution network. In reality, a company faces problems considering capacitated
transportation facilities and time constraint of delivery. In this paper, we develop a new model of order
fulfillment physical distribution to minimize transportation cost under limited of transportation facilities.
The first step is defined problem description. After that, we formulate a integer linear programming model
for the single-warehouse, multiple-agents considering varying of transportation facilities in multi-period
shipment planning. We analyze problems faced by company when should decide policy of distribution due to
varying of transportation facilities in volume, type of vehicle, delivery cost, lead time and ownership of
facilities. We assumed transportation costs are modeled with a linear term in the objective function. Then,
we solve the model with Microsoft Excel Solver 8.0 Version. Finally, we analyze the results with considering
amount of transportation facilities, volume usage and total transportation cost.

Designing Enterprise Resources Planning Application for Integrating Main Activities in a Simulator Model of SCM Network Distribution
Collaborative supply chain is a specific topic in supply chain management and studied by
industrial engineering students in supply chain management course. Unfortunately, conventional
learning media cannot explain the phenomenon of collaborative supply chain to the students. This study
aimed to design a dynamic learning media so that inter-company collaboration and information sharing
on the activities of Supply Chain entities can be explained effectively to the students. The problem was
solved using 3 (three) steps. First, the distribution network was described using mock up. It consists of
miniature trucks, miniature network and miniature of the manufacturer-distributor-retailer embedded
with tag and reader of RFID. Second, the Enterprise Resources Planning application was developed for
supporting business activities. Third, we developed the integrator consists of monitor’s user interface
and practice modules. The result of the research - an SCM-Simulator – will be able to improve learning
skills of industrial engineering graduates, especially abilities to identify, formulate, and solve the
activities of tactical plan & operational routines of Supply Chain entities. However, distribution module
designed is for limited scale laboratory study of simple objects.

Penentuan Alokasi Buffer untuk Meningkatkan Performansi Lini Produksi (Studi Kasus di PT. General Electric Lighting Indonesia)
PT. GE Lighting Indonesia is a manufacturing company that producing lamp. In generally, PT. GE Lighting Indonesia's producing line consist of 5 machines with buffer allocation storage between machine that have early capacity of buffer= 1225 units, buffer2= 915 units, buffer3= 820 units, and buffer4= 545 units. The allocation of these buffer is definitely done with purpose to place output from machine before processed to the next machine. Time difference process in every machine make the stream of production process become less fluent and affecting less maximal is machine damage factor. although the preventive maintenance policy is applied in PT. GE Lighting Indonesia remain to be the machine damage cannot be obviated at production process take place.
This research will try to redetermine the buffer allocation in PT. GE Lighting Indonesia in order to make the production process more fluent, so that can increase the throughput in production line. The method that is use to redetermine the buffer allocation is simulation approach. The reason why the author use this method is because there wasn't found a representative and valid analytical model that match with the system. The simulation is done with Promodel 4.0 software.
Based on the experiment design and running of simulation, it's achieved a conclusion that the best alternative buffer capacity is at 900 units ( buffer1, buffer2, buffer3, buffer4 has a same capacity at 900 units) with aveerage throughput at 9.651 unit/shift. While in the early buffer capacity only produce as many as 9207 unit/shift. Finally, if it's compared with the early condition, redetermining the buffer allocation can increase the throughput of production line process equal to 444 units/shift
Perancangan Sistem Informasi untuk Mendukung Sistem Peringatan Dini suatu Manajemen Persediaan pada Perusahaan Grosir
Abstract
In this paper, we concerned about improving inefficiences of the business processes at store room areagrocery
products in a grocery company. Due to inefficiencies of the inventory management, it is
necessary to improve them related with providing good information and data management. The main
problem is miss information related with early warning system of lifetime products. They often have
unsold inventory grocery products as impact of expired date. This journal analyzes a system to find out
the need for system, then designs the system based on the system requirement obtained from the analysis.
The information system of store room area grocery product is designed by using an object-oriented
approach and UML modeling language to identify the actor, to make the system use case, to model the
business process using the activity chart, to make interaction scheme using sequence diagram and to
identify class. In the designing stage, this database and interface design is made. After database and
interface design, the next stage is to make the program code by considering the use case and interaction
diagrams that are made previously in modeling the object-oriented system. The result of this research
consists of input constituting login form, product, suppliers, unit, category, action, location, and
personnel data, addition, withdrawal, and action transactions, searching for product data, personnel
data, location data and report input. Meanwhile the output constitutes withdrawal list, increment,
product early earning reports approaching the expired date, product list, location list, personnel list,
stock op name checklist, and the product master label. The outputs of the information system are reports
and documents in monitor screen view and in printing. The validation showed that the information system
designed can support the early warning system of expired date of grocery products in store room area.

AN AGRI-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN MODEL TO ENHANCE THE BUSINESS SKILLS OF SMALL-SCALE FARMERS USING CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In general, small-scale vegetable farmers experience problems in improving the safety and quality of vegetables for supplying high-class consumers in modern retailers. Farmer Group and/or Cooperative (FGC) should be able to assist its members to meet the relevant provisions of modern retail on product specifications, delivery terms, and internal business requirements. This study proposed an agri-food supply chain (ASC) model that involves the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities to enhance the business skills of the FGC as supplier of modern retailer. Multi-objective optimization programming is developed to determine the amount and timing of supply, level of farmers training skills, quality improvement target, and the CSR total cost. The results show that the proposed model can be used to determine the priority of programs in order to empower farmers' groups as modern retail suppliers.
Model Agri-food Supply Chain untuk Memperkuat Kemampuan Bisnis Kelompok Tani dengan Menggunakan Aktivitas Tanggung Jawab Sosial Perusahaan. Kebanyakan petani sayur mayur mengalami masalah dalam memperbaiki keamanan dan kualitas sayur-mayur untuk dipasarkan ke konsumen kelas menengah-atas di pasar modern. Koperasi dan/atau Kelompok Tani (KKT) seharusnya dapat membantu anggotanya dengan memasarkan secara langsung ke perusahaan ritel modern. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengembangkan model agri-food supply chain (ASC) yang melibatkan aktivitas tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (TJSP) untuk memberdayakan KKT sebagai pemasok pada ritel modern. Aktivitas TJSP dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bisnis para anggota KKT dan memperbaiki kualitas sistem pendistribusian sayur mayur. Model optimisasi tujuan majemuk dikembangkan untuk mementukan varibel keputusan terdiri dari jumlah dan waktu pasokan, tingkat pelatihan yang diikuti, target perbaikan kualitas, dan total biaya untuk aktivitas TJSP. Dari hasil contoh numerik dapat ditunjukkan bahwa model usulan dapat digunakan perusahaan menentukan prioritas aktivitas TJSP dalam rangka memberdayakan kelompok tani menjadi pemasok

or expertise. This system can be used by anyone whose not an expert to increase their skill in specivic
domain problem solving.SBPPK is designed by integrating quality control function that consist of X-R
chart, NP chart, process capability, pareto diagram and also the ability to analyze the output.By using
this system manufacturing statistical quality control application will take shorter time.

Perancangan Sistem Informasi Pemrosesan Order Produk Ortosa Prostesa Di Instalasi Ortotik Prostetik Rumah Sakit Ortopedi Prof.Dr.R. Soeharso Surakarta
Orthotic and Prosthetic Installation of Orthopedic Hospital of production unit in the making of prosthesis orthosis in Indonesia. So far there is no technician status which contains finishing time for all orders which are being processed. This condition causes the delay in order finishing time. Therefore, it needs information system which can made task allocation model (new order) better.
After system analysis was done to find out the needs of system, the information system of the process of prosthesis orthosis product order is designed. The existing system analysis is carried out by using object oriented approach and using UML language. At the database setting up level by using Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)approach needs adjustment from object oriented approach to relational approach, then user interface model are designed later. The next step, program codes were made by giving attention to use case diagram and interaction diagram.
From the setting up for information system were found out some inputs in the forms of forms for login, the data of patients, products, raw materials needed, raw materials, order, and technician data. the output were in the forms of early warning for order, order reports, the order slips, the letter of order and the acknowledge receipt of the order. From the validation result to the functions in the application was found out that the functions tested were valid or worked well
